What's Special About A Bambooty Easy Dry?

Sizing:

Size Small easy nappies have 2 rows of snaps for a snug fit on new born legs. Use the lower row for a smaller fit, either folding over the top or keeping it up for tummy time.

CARE:

Prewash

Before using your new Easy nappies by bambooty please prewash 3 times to remove any manufacturing residues and to ensure absorbency. It is not necessary to dry the nappies in between washes.

After use

Keep nappies in a dry lidded nappy bucket until a load for washing has accumulated. There is no need for dangerous buckets of water full of chemicals around the house.

Wet nappies can be placed straight in the dry bucket although saturating them with a Little Squirt or under the tap will increase the longevity of your nappies as wee is very acidic and will wear the fabrics and elastic faster.

Soiled nappies are very similar. Simply flush away your flushable liner, tip rolling poos straight into the loo or rinse off the poo by using a Little Squirt or tap water, and saturate before placing in your lidded nappy bucket.

Washing

Washing is easy. For the best results from your nappies:

• Use half the recommended strength powder detergent
• Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or vinegar
• Pre-rinse, particularly soiled nappies
• Suede cloth is stain resistant and any residing stains are best treated by the sun only
• Flushable liners may be washed and reused if not soiled. Flushable liners are not recommended for septic tanks
• Tip – baking soda increases pH, neutralises odours and breaks down residues which may be causing leaks and unwanted smells. Use it in the wash, in the dry nappy bucket, or as a separate wash for nappies with a residual stink, if needs be.

Drying

The sun is the best, however if drying nappies in the sun is not possible gas or electric dryers can be used. Gas dryers are faster and cost less to run.

No folding, no pins, no soaking, no bleach, no leaks, no chemicals, no waste, no worries. Welcome to the world of modern cloth.

Why Cloth?

Because cloth is gentle on baby, on the pocket and on the earth; because this is the single biggest way you can reduce your global footprint; because they look incredibly cute!

Gentle on baby

I don't know about you, but my most comfortable undies are made from cloth, not plastic. The bamboo we use is a luxuriously soft fibre, very absorbent and naturally antifungal and antibacterial. It is free from the toxic chemicals and bleach associated with disposable nappies and therefore much gentler on baby's skin.

Gentle on the pocket

Cloth nappies may seem expensive at first but they pay for themselves in just a few months and save thousands of dollars over time. That's just with one baby! Cloth nappies should last two or more babies, so handing them down increases savings dramatically.

Gentle on the earth

One baby can get through 5,000 disposable nappies before they are fully toilet trained and each of those nappies can take 500 years to decompose in landfill, while leaching yukky chemicals and releasing methane.

Or you can raise a child on cloth nappies, which you can reuse and recycle again and again and again.

So why Bamboo?

Bamboo is made using much less water than cotton and doesn't require any pesticides or chemicals, thereby reducing your environmental impact still further. Bamboo is more absorbent than cotton and a much more sustainable crop due to the speed that it grows at. Did we mention it is silky soft?
